Facebook blocked me. A picture story

I have zero posts on Facebook and use it only for work-related purposes. Nevertheless, it believes I broke its сommunity standards:

Since Facebook knows that I need it for work, it starts using leverage to get my personal information:

The best part is saved for last. The coronavirus is somehow responsible for Facebook possibly being unable to unblock my account:

My Telegram posts on 2020’s weeks 30 & 31

Telegram is socialist. What’s worse, it filed suit against Apple for “antitrust” violations. I can’t stand this anymore, so I will stop posting to my Telegram channel. This is its last archive.

Week 28

Telegram now shows a preview of the actual image sent rather than a useless emoji. This is what good design is all about.

No it’s not:

Good causes and cults

I might get slapped in the face for this. But telling the truth will make the world a better place, which is more important.

Over the last few years, the world has gotten more radical and polarised. This is mostly because of fake news clickhunting media that does not care about the future we will all end up in.

Psychotic batshit is becoming popular, especially in the US. Cancel culture is everywhere. Affirmative action is harming innocent lives. The Overton window is shifting towards less freedom. I am scared.

Pollutants and Greta Thunberg

Without doubt, we are in the midst of one of the most severe natural catastrophes that our planet has ever seen. We should all be working hard to minimise our impact on nature. Unfortunately, some people have taken advantage of this problem to carry out their dirty interests, like the people behind Greta Thunberg. She has been brainwashed to feel in her veins that every breath is a gruesome action that leads to global warming. Greta Thunberg does not see the wider problem.

Fighting sexism and extreme feminists

Sexism is obviously something that should not exist: there is no scientific evidence for one sex being inferior to the other. But why harm members of the other group because some of them have a misconception?

Black Lives Matter and nationwide destruction

Black lives matter. Smashing windows of allegedly racist-run stores won’t solve anything.

Trump is a bad president and impeachment for no reason

Sure, Trump makes many bad decisions. But calling a foreign president and asking for a favour is not an impeachable offence. This “scandal” was made up by Democrats to win the next election. Binarised masses fell for it and divided themselves into pro-Trump and pro-Constitution. This is a master manipulation of the truth.

There are many other good causes being turned into cults: disagreeing with Putin and supporting Navalny, protecting the Italian language and defending fascism, et cetera.

Perhaps making fun of polarisation, political correctness, and all similar topics will stop the madness.

Organic: agribusiness is changing a word’s definition

Webster 1913:

Of or pertaining to an organ or its functions, or to objects composed of organs; consisting of organs, or containing them; as, the organic structure of animals and plants; exhibiting characters peculiar to living organisms; as, organic bodies, organic life, organic remains.

Yet today one of its definitions is:

Something produced by methods that comply with practices that cycle resources, promote ecological balance, and conserve biodiversity.

Let’s analyse this by looking at a specific example: apples. Every person who follows elementary nutritional precautions understands that a non-organic apple is harmful: it’s basically playdough. Some dirty sect took advantage of this and created a technicality by changing the meaning of “being organic” so only apples made in a proprietary bombastic way are considered such. I say, cut the bullshit. Any apple is organic if it’s not made out of playdough.

Using the word organic in its new “definition” is unprofessional.

Cancel culture and dialogue

I despise cancel culture: responding to every mishap is a path to isolation.

Dialogue between adversaries should never stop, as it is the only way to find a solution that works well for both sides.

“Do not disturb” in hotels

Most hotels give customers door tags with “Do not disturb” written on them. I don’t understand why. It’s obvious that no person ever wants to be ever disturbed. If you think that it’s something about cleaning the room, it isn’t: hotels give out these tags even when you’re staying for one night.

Plus, in hotels with actual keys, you give them to the reception when leaving. Therefore the hotel knows when you’re gone. In those with plastic cards, the hotel knows I’m in my room as soon I as open the door.

I am in one of these today, and there’s a button instead of a tag. The button works only when I have my card inside the slot (I tried the business card approach; everything works only when the card is in there), so I took a second card. And as soon as I come back from outside DND is deactivated so I have to press the button once more. This button would be super useful if it would physically block the door from being opened by hotel staff or anybody else with the key, but it just shines a barely noticeable LED.

P. S. Does the Ritz Carlton do this?

Florists

There is a strange job out there: the florist. Its definition is “a person that arranges and sells cut flowers”. The latter part is okay, but in this case florists would be flower vendors.

The only reason why florists have kept their jobs and not become artists is symbolisms. Apparently different combinations convey different meanings, so florists need to make sure I won’t offend the person I’m giving the flowers to. But the only people who know these meanings are, well, florists. Madness.

Florists should just make beautiful flower combinations, therefore becoming artists.
