Being half-asleep is the greatest feeling in the world. One feels awake, but it takes an alarm clock to actually wake up and understand what was going on.
This is actually a feeling I hate most: you don’t really feel awake because you can’t concentrate on anything, and can’t fall asleep either. When intentionally escaping from reality, it’s a really great state to be in, but I can’t come up with a use case for that escape and doubt being half-asleep can be good and useful in general.
